Google powers ahead in the property sector
I have just built a very interesting property related website. This business is offering the private seller and landlord the opportunity to get their property listed alongside the major agents properties on the new Google Maps - Property Search. You can check out the new website here: www.map2property.co.uk.
You may well of heard of the market leader in property websites - Rightmove. The problem for the seller who would like to do things themselves and save the huge agency fees - is that Rightmove do not allow private seller listings. All listings at Rightmove are through agents.
Now Google has thrown its hat in the ring in the property search arena and as you might expect - they have done it big style. We all know people "google it" and property is now exception. Now rather than heading off to other websites that pop up in the search results at Google - house-hunters can simply select the "property" filter from the maps view and hey - loads and loads of properties available for both sale and rent.
Fact is, Google Maps - Property Search is listing more properties than Rightmove in most locations already and it only launched in the UK in June 2010.
The www.map2property.co.uk website I have just built has some very cool features. A private seller can build a really cool online property advert in a matter of minutes with slide-show display of images, mapping, private messaging and all very search-engine friendly.
What's more the site offers the operator full user-management with registration, login, tracking, newsletters.
This website is at the "advanced" end of things but is still much more affordable than you might imagine.
